The Garda Lake has very different characteristics in its different zones.

The southern part is muddy and not very deep, which make it suitable for spearfishing but not for constant weight.

In the north the temperature is colder, visibility may vary quickly depending on the tributary river that can bring in a lot of debris in a very short time.

The wind in all exposed areas can become an issue creating currents and waves comparable with sea.

We choose Baia delle Sirene (mermaid’s bay) because for us it’s the best spot: weak and predictable currents, swim distance to 100m depth, parking and hospitality suitable for families and children.
